Mr. Hussein Nesr

Hussein Nesr is the co-founder and vice president of Webcor Group, a soft commodities and FMCG trading and distribution entity, with a global presence in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Southeast Asia. He is an entrepreneur who relentlessly seeks to build upon a career shaped by accomplishments with further successes and promising ventures.
M. Nesr’s professional journey started in 1985, Kinshasa, RDC, where he contributed as owner and senior manager to bring family-owned trading companies into prominence. It is in RDC where he honed his business development skills and obtained market strategy insight both of which were the cornerstones of his future achievements.
In 1991, he moved to neighboring Angola and co-founded Angoalissar, which today is the largest soft commodities and FMCG distribution company in the country and part of Webcor Group. Throughout a successful career path in Angoalissar, Mr. Nesr occupied different functions and positions, from Import/Export Manager, to Commercial Director, and ultimately General Manager, a role he held for nearly a decade. The culmination of his efforts came in 2005 becoming the Chairman of AngoAlissar.
In parallel, Mr. Nesr worked on different Webcor Group projects to enhance its global reach and solidify its success. Webcor combined both exposure in international markets and expertise in African markets to develop a varied and pertinent product offering to its wide customer base that serves their particular needs. The group currently has a workforce of more than 3,000 talented employees and has trading and sourcing presence throughout the world. In recognition of his ongoing contributions, Mr. Nesr’s was selected as Vice President of Webcor Group.
Mr. Nesr is currently based in Luanda, Angola, although he also resides in different parts of the world depending on where his work takes him.
